Calendar - Event View

CMTRA will support the Rocky Mountain Field Institute (RMFI) again this year by helping them get backcountry tools and supplies to Jones Park. The RMFI Crew will conduct a 16-day trail maintenance expedition and would appreciate help getting supplies to their base camp location. CMTRA volunteers will ride in their supplies from the intersection of High Drive and the Captain Jacks Trail (FST #665) to Jones Park near the intersection of FST #667 and Pipeline (FST #668). This is a ride of approximately 3.5 miles with 1,400' of elevation gain. RMFI will provide backpacks full of supplies and tools (approximately 25 lbs. each). CMTRA volunteers will ride the backpacks to the Jones Park drop-off location. This is a great way to support our trail partners. Upper Captain Jacks is a challenging ride especially with large backpacks, so this event is for advanced and expert riders only.
